Keratin Fusion is the next generation in straightening and texture control. There are two different options to choose from. The first option will reduce frizz, volume and bulk. It leaves the hair smoother and more manageable. This is the ideal service for someone who would like to reduce curl and frizz but would like to retain some wave and movement. The second option is Keratin Fusion – Thermal Treatment. This service is for someone who, along with reducing the curl and frizz, would like to wear their hair straight all the time.

1. Can I get a Keratin Fusion Treatment if I have had a relaxer?

You can feel comfortable to receive this service if you have had a frizz-cure, Japanese, or a Brazilian relaxer. The only exception is someone who has been relaxed with either a sodium hydroxide relaxer or a strong thio-based relaxer, these clients should not receive this service.

2. How soon can I wash my hair after this service?

You can wash your hair after 24 hours. However, you cannot have any clips, rubber bands, hats touch your hair. It absolutely cannot get wet; not even perspiration.

3. Can I get the Keratin Fusion Treatment if my hair is highlighted or bleached?

This product can be used successfully over color treated and high-lighted hair up to 50%. If your hair is a high lift blond and also has bleach highlights in it, you are not a candidate for this service. If you are unsure of the amount of high-lighting you have, and would like to know if it is safe for your hair to have a keratin fusion, please call for a complimentary consultation.

4. Does this product contain formaldehyde?

Absolutely not, we provide long-lasting, no-risk, damage-free, color-safe straightening and smoothing with a product that is safe for our clients as well as our staff. The professional product that we use at Elite Concepts will eliminate frizz without the health risks associated with other smoothing/straightening-type products.

5. What is the price?

For the Keratin Fusion Treatment-140 for stylist, 145 for senior stylist, 150 for designer (prices vary depending on length and/or texture of hair)

For the Keratin Fusion Thermal Treatment-190 for stylist, 195 for senior stylist, 200 for designer (prices vary depending on length and/or texture of hair)

6. How long will I be in the salon for the Keratin Fusion Treatment?

Approximately 2 1/2 hours.

7. Can I have a consultation?

Yes, you can book a complementary consultation. In fact it is recommended, if you have never been to Elite Concepts, to book a consultation with a stylist who can perform this service to determine which service is best for you, the Keratin Fusion, or the Keratin-Thermal Fusion. This is especially important, if you think you may have more than 50% highlighting.

8. How often does this service have to be repeated?

Approximately 4 - 5 months.

9. Are there specific shampoos or conditioners that I should use or avoid after having this treatment?
